Cristo PapasakelariouDr. Papasakelariou, a gynecologist and obstetrician, began his medical career in 1978. Over the years he has become a respected physician, as noted by his professional achievements as well as his academic and clinical appointments. More importantly, he also has pioneered the advancement of medical techniques, giving women worldwide more surgical options that are less invasive and require short recovery times. These techniques are being used worldwide. Dr. Papasakelariou has been on the teaching staff of Christus St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston since 1984. In fact, he served as the hospital's Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1996 to 1999. He has practice privileges at three Houston hospitals. An author and speaker, he also has produced more than 30 gynecologic surgery videos that are used worldwide to train specialists. He speaks Spanish, Greek, and English.
