Over his career Dr. Lucente has been credited with being the first to perform many new surgical techniques. He currently trains physicians across the country in these procedures. Dr. Lucente is currently Chief, the Section of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital as well as Medical Director for The Institute for Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgerysm. The Institute is a center of excellence for female pelvic floor disorders integrating effective medical training, innovative clinical research and service oriented patient care. In addition to managing a busy clinical practice, Dr. Lucente is an avid researcher with over 10 years of experience in surgical research, medical device, and pharmaceutical clinical trials in the fields of both Gynecology and Urogynecology. He has published numerous articles in peer review journals and authored several textbook chapters. He also serves as a reviewer and editor for women's health journals. Dr. Lucente lectures at leading medical institutions nationwide on clinical advancements in the field of urogynecology as well as his newly developed passion for the topic of the business of medicine, including coding and reimbursement, strategic planning and financial management.
