Ali Ghomi
Assistant Professor and the director of AAGL/SRS Fellowship in Advanced Gynecologic Endoscopy
Dr Ghomi is currently an assistant professor and the director of AAGL/SRS Fellowship in Advanced Gynecologic Endoscopy at The Department of Gynecology-Obstetrics, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
Dr Ghomi graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1999. He completed a post-graduate residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University at Buffalo, The State University of NY in 2003. He went on to complete AAGL/SRS fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery in Houston, TX under the preceptorship of E.C. Lotze, M.D. Dr Ghomi was awarded AAGL/SRS Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship Program Prize Paper Competition in 2004 and the ACOG National Faculty Award in June 2005 for excellence in teaching.
Dr Ghomi is also a full-time faculty and the co-director of the division of general obstetrics & gynecology, Department of Gynecology-Obstetrics, University at Buffalo, NY. His areas of interest include laparoscopic surgery in pregnancy (such as laproscopic cerclage and management of adnexal masses in pregnancy) and laparoscopic hysterectomy for the enlarged uterus.
