Recognized internationally is his pioneer work in urogynecological laparoscopic surgery (a specialty dealing with female organ prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence). He has pioneered and developed several gynecological procedures, including laparoscopic bladder neck suspension for the treatment of urinary incontinence, laparoscopic uterovaginal and vaginal vault suspension for the correction of the uterovaginal prolapse, laparoscopic paravaginal suspension for the repair of cystocele, and laparoscopic enterocele repair. He also has extensive experience in laparoscopic laser treatment of severe endometriosis, tubo-ovarian reconstruction and other laparoscopic fertility promoting procedures. He holds the record for performing the most laparoscopic hysterectomy in the world and has extensive professional publications and presentations to his credit.
